PROFESSIONAL STAFF:
Louis T. Cardi, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., Diplomate, American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Dr. Cardi's background, interests and commitment to the total health care needs of women led him to found WOMEN'S HEALTH. His extensive training includes an internship in emergency and family medicine at Brookdale Hospital, OB/GYN residency at North Shore University Hospital and a Galloway Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. He acquired additional training in the areas of vaginal and laparoscopic surgery, osteoporosis and endocrinology. Dr. Cardi is a diplomate of the American Menopause Society and a member of several other professional societies.

Stephen Salmieri, D.O., Jr., Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology
After receiving his doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Salmieri trained as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan and completed fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic in the subspecialty area of Urogynecology. This advanced training addresses problems related to the lower urinary tract such as loss of bladder control.

Stella M. Slade, R.N., C.N.M., M.S.N., Member of American College of Certified Nurse- Midwives
A British trained nurse-midwife, Stella's competence, warmth, sensitivity and charm account for her popularity amongst WOMEN'S HEALTH patients. Stella trained to be a nurse- midwife at The North Sheffield University Hospital in Yorkshire. She has received recertification training in the U.S., has over 10 years of delivery room service and is certified through the A.C.N.M. Council.
